Year: 2018–2022Location: SMS Medical College & Hospital, Jaipur

Expanding Critical-Care Capacity

During Dr. Sudhir Bhandari’s tenure as Principal & Controller, SMS Medical College & Hospital strengthened critical-care infrastructure across several specialised facilities. The expansion included a large Advanced Medical ICU within SMS Hospital, a dedicated Stroke ICU at Bangur, and specialised intensive-care capacity for infectious diseases. Together, these facilities increased the institution’s ability to manage critically ill patients across medical, neurological and infectious-disease emergencies while supporting the broader growth of SMS as a tertiary and super-speciality referral centre.
